Did you know there is a drug-free approach to managing your child’s ADD / ADHD symptoms?
That’s right. I know it’s hard to believe because the counselors, teachers and doctors you’ve consulted with have never mentioned neurofeedback (aka neuro-integration therapy) or Functional Medicine. Before we dive deep into this effective and non-invasive, medication-free therapy, let’s sit with the realities of ADD / ADHD for a moment.
Does any of the following hit home for you?
- Does your child dread school, homework or interacting socially? Do you want your child to succeed at school and life, but don’t want them taking medications?
- I get it. I’ve been there personally and it is heart wrenching when your child (or you yourself) does not perform to their potential.
- Be it anger, decreased scholastic ability or sensory processing challenges, ADHD reaches into every facet of our lives and it can leave you feeling helpless and emotionally drained!
Neurofeedback Therapy for ADD / ADHD
ADD / ADHD is a neurological imbalance found in the brain nestled within a symphony of brain waves. When some of these brainwaves are playing off key, we lose synchronicity and display symptoms of ADD / ADHD. Neurofeedback training can correct these brainwaves bringing your child’s brain into balance permanently.
Neurofeedback can help to manage a complex set of symptoms associated with ADD/ADHD, including:
- Lack of attention
- Poor eye coordination
- Abnormal emotional responses
- Sensory overload and disconnection
The first thing parents consistently report as their children start neurofeedback therapy is that their child is more calm, manages emotions better, and doesn’t get overwhelmed as easily. Visit our ATTENTION DEFICIT PAGE to learn more and to watch and read testimonials from parents who have seen great success after their children tried neurofeedback therapy.
Our unique approach for managing ADD / ADHD
ADD / ADHD is not simply a behavioral problem that can be unlearned. What is really occurring is a triad of problems that starts in the prefrontal cortex which is influenced by eye movements plus inflammatory signals stemming from nutritional deficiencies and inflammation (gut-brain connection).
Knowing the early development history of your child is important because a lack of proper development markers (lifting head up > rolling over > sitting up > crawling > pulling self up > walking) at specific time frames tells us whether the cerebellum and brain communicated and developed properly. For example, you may say “Susie never raised her head very well” or “Johnny never crawled, but he scooted on his butt a lot!” Any alteration in normal development must be rehabilitated through Functional Neurology Exercises that will re-instate that early critical neurological development.
That’s why we use a combination of Neurofedback Therapy, Functional Neurology and Functional Medicine to holistically address the symptoms of these conditions. We’re confident that without medication, we can provide relief for you and your family and help place your loved one on the road to a focused, confident and engaged childhood.
Start Neurofeedback Therapy today
The first step in evaluating whether or not you or your child is a good candidate for Neurofeedback Therapy is to schedule a Brain Map, or a qEEG reading of the brain waves (alpha, beta, delta and theta). After the Brain Map, we will schedule a Report of Findings to discuss the appropriate customized care plan that will be the most effective for your child to manage ADD / ADHD symptoms.
